About Us

I have loved to cook since High School and entered and won my very first competition in 1998 with my trailer mounted smoker. I aquired and refurbished a custom bbq pit and that got me intrigued in the design aspect and how the firebox performed and affected the results.

In 2003, I started building firepit grills as a hobby. I began building them counter-top height so they could be used as outdoor grills that you could stand while using. At the same time I began to play around with metal design and enjoyed creating western art.

People began to talk and my hobby turned into a business spread by word of mouth. I knew I had turned a corner when I was contacted by a Veterinarian in Georgia who wanted a smoker with a full kitchen and a walk-in cooler on a 3-axle trailer.

And since 2009 when the natural gas industry took a downward turn, I began to manufacture other items – mainly oil field related. But I have always enjoyed the creative side and western art, so within the last year, I have concentrated on the custom creation of bbq grills, firepits, picnic tables and other decor such as wine racks, wine glass holders and birdfeeders.

Horseshoe 1 Fabrications is dedicated to building quality custom-made items that will last for decades to come. We are family owned and operated and everything is formed and manufactured in the USA. We proudly support local businesses in sourcing materials.

We can fabricate grills, pits and smokers for personal, residential, commercial, corporate and competion applications . We make a variety of sizes and bbq pits for outdoor use, as well as trailer pits. All of our products are constructed from heavy-duty material which means you won’t have to replace your pit for many years to come.
